However, my narrow experience on Malaysia convinced me that at least in such major resorts like Penang and Kuala Lumpur, tourists don't get severely disturbed by restrictions of the religious origin. In Malaysia it seems to be a good idea to carry an ATM card, because time to time it is oddly laborious to cash travellers' checks. Malaysia
